I’m behind on my 11 months photo. What else is new? It’s a wonder this kid gets fed and dressed each day. (Before you pick up the phone to call Child Protective Services, be aware that he IS fed and dressed each day. Parent of the Year Award right here…)
Here’s little dude at 11 months…
He actually looks a little different now because I DID finally get his hair cut. Now it’s short and goes straight across his forehead like Lloyd from Dumb & Dumber. He looks like a little friar. Friar Fox and his bowl cut.
I thought for sure my kid would have crazy curly hair like me, but it wouldn’t be his personality to comply.
Anyways. We’re celebrating that milestone birthday in less than 2 weeks. I can’t believe he’ll be 1. Be prepared for the next blog post to be emotional and sappy. I’ve warned you.

He has grown so much! Such a handsome fellow you have there! 🙂 Are you ready for his birthday? My baby’s first birthday is in October, and I am sad and happy all at once! So overwhelming! Time has gone by way too fast!

Thank you! I’m pretty emotional about it, which is super weird. The weirder thing is thinking about what I was doing at this exact moment last year…and it was wishing to everything that I could just go into labor already!

I know exactly how you feel. My baby will be a year old in two months.

He is beautifull! My wife also has trouble cutting my sons hair. She loves it.
It is so amazing to see how much Fox and my Mees are alike. Mees had his b-day on the 12th of july but doesnt show any sign of walking soon. He can crawl from the front to the back of the house in little then a few seconds. That little dude is fast! I cant turn my back or he is somewhere else. And Im getting the idea Fox is quick also.
Mees his first b-day was a major step for us. We were so happy and at the same time a bit sad. Its a milestone you cant compare to anything. I shot over 400 pictures that day. I didnt want to miss anything.
And you know what the weird part is about the first b-day? The time…. the nine months of pregnacy before were LOOOOOOOONG, like, extremely boring long. Like years. And in a blink of an eye he turned one. How crazy is that.

Aww, I know exactly what you mean about the bittersweet of turning 1. It’s a lot of fun because, well, it’s a fun age, but it’s also sad in a way, because they become more and more independent each day. Right after he was born I would have said you were crazy if you said I’d want another child a year later. But I see why people have more than 1 so quickly. It’s because there’s something sort of special about that baby period 🙂

Yeah OK, but having a second so quick just to get that baby period again? That would be weird…

He is so cute!! I love his little jeans. We just found out that we are having a boy! I’m due in January and I feel like that month is approaching too fast! There’s so much to do before he gets here!

Yay for boys! You are going to have SO MUCH FUN! Can’t wait to read all about it on your blog 🙂

We are so excited!! I know the Hubs is glad to have a boy on the way – little hunting buddy! =]

Awwww….
You have to cut their hair? I have no experience in that! My child will be an outcast!
August 26, 2013 at 10:15 pm
haha – you only have to cut their hair if they have stick straight hair like Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber. Because then it just keeps getting longer and longer and more “bowl-like.” So I’m hoping for you that your little critter has some curls 🙂
